Put the claws away, kitten. I told you I was particular about my stuff. Yes, I’m aware it was your room. And Tate’s room. And so and so forth. What are you looking for? I’ll keep an eye out for it but cut the attitude. Please and thank you.

The Kids Are Alright || Tate & Violet -
Violet loved him, and he couldn’t understand why that wasn’t enough for him, for the voices, for the whole entire fucking world. Violet loved him, despite everything he said, everything he did, every mistake he had made. Violet could look at him and love him and tell him that he was perfect to her. That should be enough. The fact that it wasn’t, the fact that he still had these desires and these fantasies, they were worse than the contents of said fantasies. Damn it, why was it always so fucking HARD! Life is hard, kiddo. Afterlife is even harder. You know what isn’t hard? Slitting someone’s throat. You should do that. Tate’s hand found it’s way into his hair and tugged at his curls, trying to pull the voice out of his head. He knew it wouldn’t work, but he was fighting actually banging his head on the floor. Anything to shut it up.
And then he saw Violet’s tears. His perfect angel was weeping for him. How could he be so selfish? She was more important than anything. Of course he wouldn’t do anything that would hurt her. He loved her more than air, more than life, more than afterlife. His love for her was the only reason he didn’t check out himself. “Vi, please don’t cry. You make it easier. I… I can’t keep the voices out, but when I am with you I can ignore them. I don’t have to do all those bad things. You help me so much. I’m… I’m sorry I said anything.” She took his face in her hands, and said those magic words. Tate felt a watery smile pull at the corners of his lips before he leaned in, pressing his mouth hard against hers. He just needed to remind himself how much she loved him, how much he loved her, and then maybe he really could do it. “I love you too, Vi. I will try. For you, I think I can do anything.” but you hear how she begged you not to do it? She knows you’ll break, I know you’ll break, you know you’ll break. We don’t know when, but personally? I hope it’s soon.
Violet shook her head, smiling softly as her lips met his again. ‘Please don’t say that, Tate. I’m happy you told me. I love you and it’s great that you’re being honest with me..’ She mean it. Him being honest made her feel like their relationship could only get better. She was aware of how unstable he was. But she believed him when he said he would try to block the voices out, for her. She pressed her lips onto his again, giving him a small nod. ‘And whenever they pop in again and tell you stupid things.. just tell me, okay? I won’t ever get mad at you for being the most honest, beautiful person I know.’ She tapped his nose once, wiping away her own tears right after. To see him so fragile broke her inside. It made her feel like she failed at taking care of him. She’d make sure he’d feel better soon.
‘So.. we should do something fun. I sneaked up behind Carly and Hope earlier and I heard them talking about booze and a party. What if we crash their little sleepover? We could get some drinks and have some fun.. after we watched this legend though!’ She giggled while she grabbed her laptop from the ground next to her and put it down in front of her. She stood up, taking his cold hand into hers, before letting it go again. ‘I’ll be right back.. i’m going to get us something to sit on.’ She walked towards the attic-hatch and ran down the petite stairway, snatching some blankets and inflatable matrasses from the spare-bedroom. She hopped upstairs again, putting the big pile of stuff down on the ground, giggling softly as she almost tumbled over. ‘Okay. Let’s make it a bit more comfortable in here, shall we?’ She said, sticking out her hand to her lover, pulling him up as soon as he took it. She wanted him to feel good. And knew exactly how. This was going to be a fun night. No stress. Just Tate and Violet in love, forever.
